Eight False Things The Public “Knows” Prior To Election Day
This is almost certainly media failure, highlighting the disconnect between research and public “knowledge”.
It is fun to read the comments to this article. Sad to say, some of these folks really believe they know what they are talking about but have the basic facts wrong. Others are pretty insightful.
But TARP was indeed passed during the Bush Administration, pushing the deficit for that year through the roof.
I just wish folks would lower the volume and try to be clear about what we know and what we don’t.
Some of these issues are complicated–like predicting whether medicare will or will not save money. No one really knows, so arguing about this seems kind of pointless to me.
Other things are pretty clear–like the annual deficit.
